NGCP: Rotational brown out in some areas to 'maintain system integrity'
The National Grid Corporation Philippines (NGCP) announced that Manual Load Dropping or MLD may be implemented in several province to maintain the integrity of the power system.
The NGCP announced the following areas will experience rotational brown out on Thursday evening:
ISECO (parts of Ilocos Sur)
CENPELCO (parts of Pangasinan)
DECORP (parts of Pangasinan)
ISELCO 2 (parts of Isabela)
NEECO II Area 1 (parts of Nueva Ecija)
SAJELCO (parts of San Jose City, Nueva Ecija)
LGU PAMES (parts of Pantabangan, Nueva Ecija)
ZAMECO I (parts of Zambales)
PENELCO (parts of Bataan)
BATELEC I (parts of Batangas)
CANORECO (parts of Batangas)
ALECO (parts of Albay)
MERALCO (parts of Metro Manila)
"Schedule may be cancelled if system condition improves, such as if actual demand falls below projections," the NGCP said, adding that the company "encourages everyone to exercise prudence in using electricity." — BAP, GMA News
