Filipino homecomer killed in Ilocos Norte shooting

A 56-year-old balikbayan from Hawaii was shot dead by unidentified gunmen while walking with his wife in Badoc, Ilocos Norte, police said.

Police said the victim was walking in Barangay Aring when two suspects on a motorcycle stopped in front of them and opened fire.

The suspects fled immediately after the shooting.

Responding officers recovered four shells from a .45 caliber firearm at the scene.

Police are still investigating the incident to identify the attackers and determine the motive.

The wife of the victim has not yet issued any statement. — GMA Regional TV
