8-month-old baby, 2 others suffer burns in lightning strike in Masbate City

An eight-month-old baby and two others sustained first-degree burns after being struck by lightning in Masbate City.

In a report on “24 Oras” on Monday, a relative of one of the victims said that the three individuals were on a boat on their way home when strong winds and heavy rains started to pour.

Nearly approaching Tubungan Fort, lightning struck the umbrella of the female victim who was carrying the baby. The man accompanying them was also struck by lightning, the relative said.
