Grade 7 student found with drug paraphernalia, knife in school

A student was found with drug paraphernalia and a knife in her possession while inside a school in Talisay City, Negros Occidental, according to a report in "State of the Nation" on Wednesday.

The incident happened on Monday, June 8, 2026, which is also the first day of classes.

According to the guard who responded to the incident, the items were taken from a 12-year-old old Grade 7 female student when the teacher reported her.

The student was brought to the barangay hall where she said that she was keeping the items for a cousin.

The child's father has passed way while her mother is working in Manila. The child has been brought to a reformation center run by the Talisay City government. — BAP, GMA News
