Magnitude 5.0 earthquake strikes near Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur
A magnitude 5.0 earthquake was recorded near Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur on Sunday evening, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) said.
The earthquake struck at 10:08 p.m. on June 14 at 08.55°N, 126.80°E - 054 km N 68° east of Hinatuan.

The earthquake was tectonic in origin and was 10 kilometers in depth.
