Magnitude 5.2 earthquake hits off Tarragona, Davao Oriental

A magnitude 5.2 earthquake hits off southeast of Tarragona, Davao Oriental early Friday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported.

PHIVOLCS earlier reported that a 5.3-magnitude earthquake hit Governor Generoso, Davao Oriental.

The quake occurred at 12:34 a.m., was tectonic in origin with a depth of 22 kilometers.

The earthquake was felt in the following areas:

• Intensity II - City of Mati, Governor Generoso, Manay, San Isidro, and Tarragona, Davao Oriental
• Intensity I - City of Davao; City of Bislig, Surigao del Sur
