Three of the four suspects were arrested on Friday for their involvement in the shooting of a college graduate in Pantukan, Davao de Oro.

In a “24 Oras” report by GMA Regional TV’s Sarah Hilomen Velasco, one of the suspects tried to hold his own child hostage, but was later arrested by the authorities.

“Hinostage niya ang anak niya pero so far na-pacify naman ng mga police natin,” Pantukan Police OIC Chief Police Lt. Col. Irish Hezron Parangan said.

Two of his accomplices have been arrested, while a fourth suspect, believed to be the victim's partner, remains at large.

“We are looking at a personal grudge or a love triangle, as the most probable motive po,” Parangan said.

The victim was shot four times while inside a minivan at around 1 p.m. on Thursday.

The victim is now in stable condition and will receive assistance from the municipal government, which is currently coordinating with the ongoing investigation. –Lyjah Tiffany Bonzo/NB, GMA News
