62 individuals evacuated from burning bus in Mawab, Davao de Oro

At least 62 passengers were safely evacuated from a burning bus in Mawab, Davao de Oro, according to a report on "Saksi."

A video showed the passengers rushing out of the door of the bus while some passed through the windows. A few minutes after fire engulfed the bus.

According to the Mawab fire station, they are looking to the possibility that the cause of the fire was the overheated engine of the bus.

More than 60 passengers are safe, including the bus driver and conductor. The cost of damage is about P2 million.

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) Region XI has issued a show cause order against the bus company, which has yet to issue a statement. — BAP, GMA News
