Raging floodwaters destroy bridge in South Cotabato

An old bridge in T'boli, South Cotabato was completely destroyed because of the force of the rushing water in a stream, according to a report on "Saksi" on Thursday.

A local official said they were hit by heavy rain, causing the raging flood waters that destroyed the bridge.

In Sultan Kudarat, houses were flooded after a downpour while some residents in Maguindanao del Sur are enduring the flooding that has lasted for three days.

According to PAGASA, the Habagat or southwest monsoon and local thunderstorms caused heavy rains in the Visayas and Mindanao. — BAP, GMA News
