Two policemen killed in ambush in Sultan Kudarat, investigation ongoing

LAMBAYONG, Sultan Kudarat — Two members of the Philippine National Police (PNP) riding a motorcycle were shot dead by unidentified suspects in Barangay Tinumiguis, Lambayong, Sultan Kudarat on Tuesday evening, July 7, 2026.

According to the initial report from the Sultan Kudarat Police Provincial Office (SKPPO), the authorities received a flash alarm regarding the shooting incident.

The victims identified as Patrolman (PAT) Pagurayan and PAT Bullos, both assigned to the 1202nd Maneuver Company, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 12 (RMFB 12), were traveling on a motorcycle.

They were shot by still unidentified suspects who could have used an M16 rifle.

Authorities are conducting an investigation to identify the perpetrators and determine the motive behind the shooting. — BAP, GMA News
