Man steals up to P400K cash from Bacolod church

A CCTV showed a thief who entered the convent of a church located in Bacolod City early Wednesday morning, according to a report on "State of the Nation."

The man, who used his shirt to try to cover his face, entered the convent of St. Jude Thaddeus Parish and Shrine and stole up to P400,000 in cash that was supposed to be used to fund church projects.

He also stole some appliances, laptop, and a bicycle of the assistant parish priest.

On Thursday morning, all the items were recovered except the cash.

According to the police, the suspect was familiar with the place so he may have been a former employee.
