21 colorum vehicles impounded, says LTO Region 7

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) Region 7 apprehended and impounded twenty-one vehicles during enforcement operations conducted from July 16 to 21, 2026 in its intensified its campaign against unauthorized public utility vehicles.

LTO 7 Regional Director Atty. Wendel C. Dinglasan implemented, through the Regional Law Enforcement Service – Field Enforcement Unit (RLES-FEU), the operations that targeted colorum vehicles, overcharging taxis, contracting, fare meter violations, and other unauthorized transport services in North Cebu, Lapu-Lapu City, and the South Road Properties (SRP).

In a statement, Dinglasan said LTO Region 7 fully supports legitimate public transport operators but "the agency will not hesitate to enforce the law against those who exploit commuters through illegal operations and abusive practices. He affirmed that the anti-colorum campaign will continue relentlessly to protect the riding public and uphold fair and lawful transportation services." — BAP, GMA News
