Magnitude 5.6 earthquake strikes off Davao Oriental

A magnitude 5.6 earthquake was recorded off the coast of Baganga, Davao Oriental on Tuesday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) said.
The earthquake occurred at 7:06 a.m. with epicenter at 07.52°N, 126.86°E - 033 km S 79° E of the municipality of Baganga.
The quake had a depth of 20 km and was tectonic in origin.
Intensity IV was felt in Digos City in Davao del Sur, PHIVOLCS said.
No damage is expected but aftershocks may occur, it added. —KG, GMA News
