Body found inside burned car in Guiguinto, Bulacan

The body of a man was found inside a car that was set on fire in Barangay Daungan, Guiguinto, Bulacan on Tuesday night, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said on Thursday.

In a press briefing, PNP chief Police General Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said the victim was a 29-year-old married man from Pulilan, Bulacan.

Based on initial investigation, the victim was allegedly lured by a woman he was having an affair with to Bulakan, Bulacan. There he was assaulted by several suspects and his body placed inside the trunk of his car.

The vehicle was later driven to Guiguinto where it was abandoned and set on fire.

Police identified six suspects including the victim’s mistress. Investigation found the female suspect entered into a relationship with the victim initially for money but her live-in partner later became jealous of the victim.

Both live-in partners and another suspect were arrested. Two more unnamed suspects are still at large.
