Rescued Baguio landslide dog Milo seen at wake of family members who died

The dog, which was rescued from the landslide site in Baguio City, appeared to mourn as well when seen at the wake of the members of a family who lost their lives in the tragic incident amid the heavy monsoon rains.

According to Marisol Abdurahman’s report on “24 Oras,” the dog Milo was recovered beside one of its humans, one of those who died in the landslide.

A classmate of one of the victims honored her friend.

“Nung tinakbo daw po siya sa ospital, sabi po nila is sini-CPR pa daw po,” the classmate said. “Mabait po, mapagbigay... Lahat po ng katropa niya, iniisip niya.”

The survivors are trying to get back to their lives, especially after they lost their homes.

The area of the landslide is now a no-build zone.

“Siguro titingnan namin dito, ano 'yung mga engineering solutions para to mitigate o kaya prevent 'yung mga ganyan,” Baguio Mayor Benjamin Magalong said. –NB, GMA News
