Grace Poe's rocky road to running for the presidency

Senator Grace Poe scored the biggest victory in her bid to run for president after the Supreme Court voted to reverse the rulings of the Commission on Elections to cancel her certificate of candidacy.

Her opponents claimed that she was ineligible to seek the highest post in the land because of her lack of a natural-born status as a foundling as well as her lack of residency after moving back to the Philippines in 2005, when she was still an American citizen having renounced her Filipino citizenship.
