Bagong impeachment case vs Arroyo malabo na -- Nograles

MANILA – Inilarawan ni Speaker Prospero Nograles na “slim to none" ang tiyansang may maghain ng panibagong impeachment complaint laban kay Pangulong Gloria Arroyo kaugnay sa naging rekomendasyon ng Senado tungkol sa kontrobersiyal na ZTE-NBN deal. Sa isang pahayag nitong Miyerkules, sinabi ng lider ng Kamara de Representantes na wala ng panahon at abala na ang lahat sa paghahanda sa darating na halalan para magsampa ng panibagong reklamo kay Gng Arroyo upang mapatalsik ito sa puwesto. “The House cannot comment on Senate committee findings and vice versa because of inter-parliamentary courtesy and respect for co-equal body in congress. That’s their call," patungkol ni Nograles sa ipinalabas na committee report ng Senate Blue Ribbon committee na inirekomendang kasuhan ang ilang personalidad tungkol sa ibinasurang kontrata kasama si First Gentleman Jose Miguel “Mike" Arroyo. Inaasahan umano ni Nograles na magkakaroon na ng “wakas" ang usapin sa ZTE-NBN deal kasunod ng rekomendasyon ng Senado sa Office of the Ombudsman na kasuhan ang ilang personalidad. “This should end all talks about ZTE especially when filed in a forum where comments are prohibited already because they are sub-judice. I just hope that the recent developments are without political undertones," paliwanag n glider. Merceditas Gutierrez na kaagad na kumilos para kasuhan ang mga personalidad na tinukoy sa committee report. “We hope the Ombudsman heeds the recommendation to charge everyone involved including First Gentleman (Mike Arroyo). The report should thus be used as additional material to revise the Ombudsman's findings accordingly. We also hope it can be used in prosecuting Mrs. Arroyo after her term ends in 2010," ayon kay Bayan Muna Rep. Teodoro Casiño. Idinagdag naman ni Citizens Battle Against Corruption (Cibac) Rep. Cinchona Cruz-Gonzales na kailangang ipakita ng anti-graft agency na ginagawa nila ang kanilang trabaho para papanagutin ang mga opisyal na inaakusahang nagkasala. “This is also a wake up call to the Ombudsman to really act as the graft buster of the country and fulfill their mandate. The Ombudsman should be the protector of the people and their interest and not of the erring officials," aniya. Ngunit para Negros Occidental Rep. Ignacio “Iggy" Arroyo, kapatid ni FG Arroyo, dapat ipaubaya na lamang ng mga kritiko ng gobyerno sa Ombudsman ang paghawak sa kaso ng ZTE-NBN deal. “There is a case pending at the Ombudsman which found no evidence against Atty. Arroyo beyond speculations and conjectures. Ombudsman also found that the President is immune. Motions for reconsideration are pending. Let's allow the Ombudsman to finish her job," hiling ng kongresista. Ipinaalala naman ni House Deputy Speaker for Mindanao Rep. Simeon Datumanong na kasama na ang usapin ng ZTE-NBN deal sa ibinarusang impeachment complaint noong nkaraang taon. “In so far as President Arroyo is concerned, the last impeachment complaint against her included the ZTE-NBN deal as cause of action in the complaint. It was dismissed by the HOR but the others let the Ombudsman look into it," paliwanag nito. Tinawag naman ni Quezon Rep. Danilo Suarez na base lamang sa kuwento at “hearsay" ang laman ng Blue ribbon committee report na pinamunuan ni Sen Richard Gordon. “There was no project to speak of. That’s redundant.
