'Trabaho lang, walang personal.' Live po natin siyang makakausap ngayon, Good evening Brian. Brian: Good evening Jessica. Jessica: There are questions about your conditioning. Some experts is raised that and they also saying that you are the champion you know and Segura is number 9 pound-for-pound king. Brian: Yeah it's will gonna a real tough fight on Sunday, Giovani has proved that he is one of the best pound-for-pound fighter with great wins and in Light weight division he is coming up and trying to get my title, I think I'm ready and trained really hard for this fight and I’m not gonna back down to any challenge. Jessica: There saying actually you are sparring partners with Segura before is this true? Brian: We were. We helped each other to get ready couple of the fights back in a few years ago and. You know it was on in off thru last three to four years that we tried to help each other as sparring partners. But you know sparring is different from a natural fight and you know I don’t think he seen the best out of me until Sunday comes. Jessica: Okay. Your thoughts, there only 2 days left before your match with Segura. Can you tell me, what’s going on in the boxer's mind every time he fight somebody in the ring. Brian: Its just thinking what’s gonna happened in the fight. You are trying to picture different scenarios that’s gonna happened. Trying to get yourself mentally prepared before the fight starts. For me im still relax now, I’m already on-weight, I don’t fell stressed out about making my weight in, there is no weight issue right now. So right now, I’m getting myself properly, getting myself ready for the fight comes this Sunday. Jessica: Okay. Brian just stay there coz we have Segura on the other remote site. Sa punto pong ito, I have to addressed our viewers. Makakausap naman po natin ang number 9 pound-for-pound boxer in the world ayon sa Ring Magazine si Giovani Segura, Good evening Giovani. Giovani: Good evening. I’m here and ready for the fight. Anxious, really hungry, I wanna eat already. Jessica: But I understand you passed the weight, how do you expect to make that weight requirement? ... your over the weight. Giovani: I’m okay. I just need to get sleep and thinking about good things I’m gonna eat tomorrow. Jessica: Oh too bad you can't have some Filipino food until after the fight. Giovani: Yeah, I love the food here its so good just I don’t want to stress about the fight, enjoy the moment, I just thinking about having a good meal, just enjoy the fight I don’t pay attention to much to that pound-for-pound for list for now. Right now, it means its just fight going on and it does matter right now not the paper work, not where I am. Jessica: I asked Brian a while ago Giovani that you were actually sparring partner and that’s little strange you were partners before, you helped each other before, now you have to face each other in the ring. How does that feel? Giovani: Its part of boxing. The reason why we are sparing partners before because it’s hard to fight in Los Angeles, California. Sparring partners I wish I can train here more there’s a lot here, some people like me, I feel normal here. We want good sparring that why we chose to helped each other that’s why we accomplished lot of good things, the work that we do. Jessica: They call you "El Guerrero Azteca" or Aztec warrior, can you tell me what’s the history behind the tag that they gave you. Giovani: Well, some state in Mexico that I'm from is called Guerrero and the gym where i trained is called Azteca, kinda mixed it and bring that Aztec Warrior. Jessica: Okay now we have the both of you, Brian on the other remote site and you on the other remote site. Do you have message to Brian, Giovani? Giovani: Yeah, I’m gonna knocked him out that’s for sure. Jessica: You think the both of you will be gentlemen fighters or you'll have to be fierce fighters. Brian: We will gentlemen after the fight, right now we will try to knock each other out... and as soon the bell rings after all set and done you know we gonna back friends again. Jessica: There are so much fighting history between our countries, Giovani. Giovani: Yeah I'll be gentlemen, I'll try (how I gonna say) gentle, knock him out or try to friendly knock him out something like that, we're friend. Its been lot of big stars because of Manny Pacquiao and now we have Brian and Giovani and I'm pretty sure its keeps going, potential Filipinos coming out and Mexicans its making a good sports rival. Jessica: Thank You Giovani and thank You Brian, good luck may the best man or the best fighter win. We gonna be watching you, get ready to rumble. - FRJ, GMA News
