“If there’s a list of the country's top 1000 corporations on taxpayers then why not a list of the country's top 1000 wanted criminals?," anang kongresista. “With the surge in crime, law enforcement agencies must share info and come up with a roster of the Philippines' most wanted. After which, their names, pictures and criminal curriculum vitae be posted in the web and printed in a phone directory-like hand book," dagdag ni Tañada. Patuloy pa niya: “We can even open a Facebook account that will display this rogue's gallery so people in the social media can unlike them, share their photos, and make their identities viral." “The idea is to have a publicly accessible database, to harness the reach of social media top lace those who have done bad things within the reach of the law. With the high internet penetration in the country, we will be making this info available at the click of the mouse," ayon sa mambabatas. “If we want to tap the citizenry in the fight against crime, then we must first heighten public consciousness on the identities of criminals. What we've been hearing about are high-profile criminal gangs but there are many out there who are just as pernicious but have not been captured in the media radar," ani Tañada. “A list therefore would flash them out of their hiding places and expose them if they're living double lives in communities that have become their sanctuaries. Therefore, most wanted list must have regional and local versions. This must be a priority project of the new DILG leadership," pagdiin niya. - RP/FRJ, GMA News
