Viral na rider na sumayaw nang nakatayo sa motorsiklo, suspendido ang driver’s license —LTO

Sinuspinde ng Land Transportation Office (LTO) ang driver’s license ng isang rider na viral matapos tumayo sa kaniyang motorsiklo at sumayaw habang nakatigil ang trapiko sa isang pampublikong kalsada.

“The Land Transportation Office (LTO), under the leadership of Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Vince Dizon, preventively suspended for 90 days the driver’s license of a rider who made a show while stuck in traffic on a public road, the incident went viral on social media,” saad ng LTO sa post nito sa Facebook.

Sinabi ni LTO Chief Assistant Secretary Vigor Mendoza II na pinadalahan na din ng show cause order (SCO) ang rider at siyang registered owner ng motorsiklo, alinsunod sa utos ni Presidente Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. na papanagutin ang mga motoristang may mga hindi kaaya-ayang ginagawa sa kalsada.

Ayon sa ahensiya, residente ng Binondo, Manila ang rider.

“The incident, according to the LTO, appeared to have taken place on a public roadway and in full view of other motorists and pedestrians,” sabi nito sa pahayag.

Batay naman sa SCO na may pirma ni LTO Intelligence and Investigation Division, Chief Renante Melitante, pinagpapaliwanag ang rider sa sulat kung bakit hindi siya dapat panagutin bilang hindi karapat-dapat na magmaneho ng sasakyan, na may katumbas na maximum penalty na revocation ng driver’s license.

Isasagawa ang hearing sa Agosto 20 kung saan sinabi ni Melitante na inatasan ang rider na i-surrender ang kaniyang driver’s license bago o sa mismong araw ng petsa.

“Failure to appear and submit the written comment/explanation as required shall be construed by this Office as a waiver of your rights to be heard, and the case shall be decided based on the evidence at hand,” saad sa SCO. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
