House panel: Reklamong impeachment laban kay VP Sara, ‘sufficient in grounds’; paglilitis, susunod na

Napag-alaman ng House justice committee nitong Miyerkoles, na “sufficient in grounds” o may sapat na batayan ang dalawang reklamo ng impeachment laban kay Bise Presidente Sara Duterte.

Sinabi ng House panel na bigo si Duterte na tugunan ang mga paratang laban sa kaniya sa Answer Ad Cautelam (With Caution) na kaniyang isinumite.

Isinasaad sa dalawang reklamo ng impeachment laban sa Bise Presidente na gumawa siya ng pagtataksil sa tiwala ng publiko, paglabag sa Konstitusyon, bukod sa iba pa, dahil sa maling paggamit umano ng P612.5 milyon na confidential fund at pagbabanta na papatayin si Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. at ang pamilya nito.

“The consolidated verified answer [of the Vice President] does not specifically address the allegations raised in the complaint. We also note that the answer still harps on the issue of sufficiency in substance when that very issue has already been settled by the positive declaration of an overwhelming majority of this committee,” sabi ni House Deputy Minority Leader Leila de Lima ng ML party-list, isa sa mga endorser ng reklamong impeachment.

“The allegations of defamation of the President and other officials, malversation of funds, the lack of explanation of confidential funds, anomalous disbursements, the certifications of VP Sara, she signed them herself, the liquidation vouchers, liquidation reports, accomplishment reports, she signed them herself…wala silang sagot tungkol doon, pati roon sa  envelopes na dinistribute to certain DepEd (Department of Education) officials,” sabi pa ni De Lima, na dating justice chief.

Dahil napag-alamang may sapat na batayan ang mga reklamong impeachment, magpapatuloy na ngayon ang House justice panel sa pagdinig sa impeachment para sa paglalatag ng mga ebidensiya at mga saksi, kapwa para sa mga nagrereklamo at sa Pangalawang Pangulo.

Bago ang botohan sa sufficiency in grounds, sinabi ng chairperson ng House justice panel at Batangas Second District Rep. Gerville Luistro na nangangailangan ng mga konkretong sagot ang mga paratang laban sa Pangalawang Pangulo.

“The allegations are not trivial. They are serious. They are weighty. They demand an answer,” sabi ni Luistro.

Sa isang panayam sa Super Radyo dzBB nito ring Miyerkoles, sinabi ni Luistro na magsisimula ang pagdinig sa Marso 25.

Inanunsyo ito kasabay ng pag-apruba ng House of Representatives ng isang resolusyon na nagbibigay ng go-signal sa komite na ipagpatuloy ang mga pagdinig sa mga reklamo ni kay Duterte sa panahon ng recess.
