Ukrainian actor Pasha Lee reportedly killed in Russian bombardment


Ukrainian actor Pasha Lee has been reportedly killed in a Russian bombardment at the town of Irpin outside of the capital Kyiv, a BBC report on Wednesday said.

According to the report, the 33-year-old Ukrainian actor who is an Irpin resident signed up for Ukraine's territorial defence force in the first days of the war.

In addition, the report said that Irpin has been bombarded for days by Russian artillery causing casualties.

The residents of Irpin were able to get out of Irpin and the north-eastern city of Sumy on Tuesday as part of a Russian evacuation corridor as they head for the central city of Poltava, the report said.

The BBC report said Lee has appeared in several films and his voice was featured in the Ukrainian versions of The Lion King and The Hobbit.

Lee also starred in TV talent shows such as Star Factory and X-Factor and a number of films.

Days before he was killed, Lee posted a link to a Ukrainian refugee charity encouraging his followers to approach them for help or to volunteer.


His last Instagram post is a photo of himself and a colleague with a hopeful message, "we'll be ok and everything will be Ukraine." —JAB, GMA News.
