Magnitude 6.6 quake strikes off Indonesia; no tsunami threat to PH — Phivolcs

There is no tsunami threat to the Philippines from a magnitude 6.6 earthquake that struck the northern Molucca Sea off Indonesia, Phivolcs said Tuesday.

According to the monitoring agency, the quake struck at 5:48 p.m. Philippines time at a depth of 33 kilometers. 

The German Research Center for Geosciences (GFZ) earlier measured the magnitude at 6.5. — BM, GMA Integrated News
