Heavy rainfall warning, Sept. 5, 2026, 2 PM

State weather bureau PAGASA raised the orange rainfall warning over parts of Bataan and Zambales, and the yellow rainfall warning over Metro Manila and other areas on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at 2 p.m. due to heavy rains from the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).

Orange warning level (Flooding is still threatening):

  • Bataan (Morong, Dinalupihan, Hermosa)
  • Zambales (Olongapo, Castillejos, Subic, San Antonio, San Narciso, Botolan, San Marcelino, Cabangan, San Felipe, Palauig, Iba, Candelaria, Masinloc)

Yellow warning level (Flooding in flood-pone areas):

  • Tarlac
  • Pampanga
  • Metro Manila
  • Nueva Ecija (Rizal, San Jose, Lupao, Pantabangan, Carranglan, Talugtug, Munoz, Llanera, Talavera, Santo Domingo, Quezon, Licab, Guimba, Cuyapo, Nampicuan, Aliaga, San Antonio, Zaragoza, Cabiao)
  • Zambales (Santa Cruz)
  • Bataan (Abucay, Bagac, Balanga, Limay, Mariveles, Orani, Orion, Pilar, Samal)
  • Bulacan (Baliuag, Pandi, Bustos, Santa Maria, San Jose del Monte, Meycauayan, Marilao, Bocaue, Balagtas, Guiguinto, Plaridel, Pulilan, Bulakan, Malolos, Paombong, Hagonoy, Calumpit, Obando)
  • Rizal (Binangonan, Angono, Taytay, Cainta, Antipolo, San Mateo, Rodriguez, Cardona, Morong, Teresa, Baras)
  • Laguna (Binan, San Pedro)
  • Cavite (Carmona, Gen. Mariano Alvarez, Dasmarinas, Imus, Bacoor, Noveleta, Kawit, Cavite City, Tanza, General Trias, Rosario, Trece Martires, Ternate, Maragondon, Magallanes, General Emilio Aguinaldo, Naic)
  • Batangas (Nasugbu, Tuy, Balayan, Calatagan, Lian).

Light to moderate with occasional heavy rains meanwhile are to be expected over the following areas within the next three hours:

  • Quezon
  • Laguna (Alaminos, Bay, Cabuyao, Calauan, Calamba, Santa Rosa, Liliw, Los Banos, Luisiana, Magdalena, Majayjay, Nagcarlan, Pagsanjan, Pila, Rizal, San Pablo, Santa Cruz, Victoria, Cavinti, Famy, Kalayaan, Lumban, Mabitac, Paete, Pakil, Pangil, Santa Maria, Siniloan)

The following areas on the other hand are experiencing light to moderate with occasional heavy rains as of posting time, which may persist within three hours and affect nearby areas:

  • Rizal (Tanay, Jala-Jala, Pililla)
  • Bulacan (Angat, Norzagaray, San Rafael)
  • Nueva Ecija (Santa Rosa, Cabanatuan, General Mamerto Natividad, San Leonardo, Jaen, San Isidro)
  • Batangas (Batangas City, Tingloy, Mabini, San Pascual, Bauan, Lobo, San Luis, Taal, Santa Teresita, Alitagtag, San Nicolas, Agoncillo, Laurel, Lemery, Calaca)
  • Cavite (Indang, Alfonso, Mendez, Tagaytay, Amadeo, Silang)

PAGASA advised the public and disaster risk reduction and management offices concerned to monitor the weather condition.

The next rainfall warning will be issued by PAGASA at 5 p.m. —KG, GMA News
