RAINFALL ALERT: 50-100 mm rain forecast in parts of Luzon due to Habagat

PAGASA on Sunday forecast 50 to 100 millimeters of rain in several areas of Luzon due to the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).

Today (Sunday)

The following areas may receive 50 to 100 mm of rain:

• Zambales
• Bataan
• Cavite
• Batangas
• Occidental Mindoro

Tomorrow (Monday)

The following areas may receive 50 to 100 mm of rain:

• Ilocos Sur
• La Union
• Pangasinan
• Zambales
• Bataan
• Tarlac
• Pampanga
• Cavite
• Batangas
• Occidental Mindoro

Tuesday

The following areas may receive 50 to 100 mm of rain:

• Ilocos Sur
• La Union
• Pangasinan
• Abra
• Benguet
• Zambales
• Bataan
• Tarlac
• Pampanga
• Cavite
• Batangas
• Occidental Mindoro

PAGASA said rainfall may be higher in mountainous and elevated areas.

The impacts of the rains may also be worsened by significant rainfall received in previous days.

Local disaster risk reduction and management offices were advised to take all necessary measures to protect life and property.

PAGASA's Regional Services Divisions may issue Heavy Rainfall Warnings, Thunderstorm Advisories and other severe weather information for their respective areas as necessary.

The next Weather Advisory will be issued at 11 a.m. Sunday, unless significant changes occur.
