Light to moderate rains expected over Laguna, Pampanga, Tarlac, 2 areas (Friday, 2 p.m.)

State weather bureau PAGASA on Friday did not issue a heavy rainfall warning but forecast light to moderate with occasional heavy rains across Luzon due to the southwest monsoon or Habagat.

In its 2 p.m. rainfall advisory, PAGASA said the following areas could expect light to moderate with occasional heavy rains within the next 3 hours:

  • Laguna
  • Pampanga
  • Tarlac
  • Zambales (Olongapo, Subic, Botolan, San Marcelino, Cabangan, Iba, Palauig, Castillejos, San Antonio, San Felipe, San Narciso)
  • Nueva Ecija (Cabiao, Gapan, San Antonio, San Isidro, Aliaga, Cabanatuan, Jaen, Licab, Penaranda, Quezon, San Leonardo, Santa Rosa, Santo Domingo, Zaragoza, Guimba, Nampicuan)

The following areas were experiencing light to moderate rains:

  • Bataan (Abucay, Dinalupihan, Hermosa, Orani, Samal, Balanga, Pilar, Orion)
  • Metro Manila (Quezon City, Caloocan, Valenzuela, Malabon, Manila, San Juan, Mandaluyong, Marikina, Pasig, Navotas)
  • Quezon (Buenavista, Catanauan, Mulanay, San Andres, San Francisco, San Narciso)
  • Bulacan (San Jose del Monte, Bocaue, Bulakan, Meycauayan, Marilao, Obando, Santa Maria)
  • Rizal (Cainta, Rodriguez, San Mateo, Antipolo)
  • Batangas (Tuy, Balayan, Calatagan, Lian, Nasugbu, Calaca, Lemery)
  • Cavite (General Emilio Aguinaldo, Magallanes, Maragondon, Ternate, Naic, Tanza, Trece Martires, Alfonso, Indang, Mendez)

PAGASA said the pertinent Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices are advised to monitor weather conditions. The next heavy rainfall bulletin will be issued at 5 p.m. — VDV, GMA News
