The trough of the Low Pressure Area that was previously Tropical Depression Amang is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers to Bicol, Eastern Visayas, and Caraga, according to PAGASA on Tuesday.

At 3 p.m., the LPA was located 105 kilometers east of Catarman, Northern Samar.

"Maliban sa LPA na ito wala tayong ibang namo-monitor na sama ng panahon na posibleng mabuo o pumasok sa loob ng PAR [Philippine Area of Responsibility] in the next two to three days," said PAGASA weather specialist Ariel Rojas in the weather bureau's 5 p.m. update.

Meanwhile, the Northeast Monsoon or Amihan continues to affect Luzon and Visayas.

Cloudy skies with light rain may be experienced in Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, Quezon, Marinduque, Romblon, and the rest of Visayas.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will likely have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rain.

Due to Amihan's surge, PAGASA warned that waters may get rough in the seaboards of Northern Luzon, eastern and western sections of Central and Southern Luzon, and the eastern section of Visayas.

Fisherfolks and those with small seacraft were advised not to venture out.

The rest of Mindanao, on the other hand, may experience isolated rain showers in the afternoon and evening due to localized thunderstorms. — Dona Magsino/BM, GMA News
