The tail-end of a cold front will be affecting southern Luzon and the Visayas while the effects of the northeast monsoon will be felt in the rest of Luzon on Thursday, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.

Bicol Region, Visayas, and Romblon will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms caused by the tail-end of a cold front. The bureau warned residents in these areas that flash floods and landslides are possible due to scattered light to moderate at times heavy rains.

Cagayan Valley Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, Quezon, Marinduque, and Oriental Mindoro will have cloudy skies with light rains brought about by the northeast monsoon.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains due to the northeast monsoon.

Meanwhile, Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms. PAGASA warned that flash floods may occur in the region during severe thunderstorms.

Northern Luzon and the eastern sections of central and southern Luzon as well as the Visayas will have strong winds coming from northeast while coastal waters will be moderate.

The rest of the country will have light to moderate wind speed in the northeast direction with slight to moderate coastal waters. — BAP, GMA News
