The easterlies will be affecting southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, according to the early morning forecast of PAGASA.

Mindanao island will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the easterlies. Flashfloods could occur on the island during severe thunderstorms, the weather bureau warned.

Central Visayas, the provinces of Palawan, Aurora and Quezon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies. Residents in these areas are likewise warned that flash floods are possible during severe thunderstorms.

For the rest of the Visayas, the Bicol Region, the rest of MIMAROPA and the rest of CALABARZON will have partly cloudy skies brought about by the easterlies.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy skies.

The wind speed forecast for the eastern sections of the Visayas and Mindanao is moderate to occasionally strong moving in the east to northeast direction. Coastal water condition, meanwhile, is moderate to occasionally rough.

In northern Luzon and the eastern sections for central and southern Luzon, the wind speed is moderate and moving east to northeast while coastal water condition is moderate.

The rest of the country will have light to moderate wind speed moving east to northeast while the coastal water condition is slight to moderate. — BAP, GMA News
