LPA intensifies into tropical depression, is named 'Jenny' —PAGASA

The low-pressure area (LPA) that was being monitored by PAGASA inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility has intensified into Tropical Depression Jenny on Monday.

At 2 p.m., it was spotted east of Virac, Catanduanes.

It is the third cyclone for the month of August.

The state weather bureau advised the public to stay tuned for updates regarding  Jenny. —Dona Magsino/KG, GMA News
