Mindanao, Eastern Visayas will be cloudy with scattered rainshowers due to ITCZ

As of 3 a.m. on Wednesday, a Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated at 1,335 kilometers east of Baler, Aurora as the northeasterly surface windflow continues to prevail over Luzon, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.

Batanes and the Babuyan Group of Islands will have cloudy skies with light rains brought about by the northeasterly surface windflow.

Mindanao and Eastern Visayas will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorm due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ). The weather bureau warned residents in these areas to be vigilant as flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorm.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms.

The forecast wind speed in Luzon and Visayas is moderate to strong moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
