Moderate to heavy rain expected in some Bicol provinces

Moderate to heavy rain is expected over some provinces in the Bicol region on Monday afternoon, according to PAGASA.

In a thunderstorm advisory released at 3 p.m., the state weather bureau said that Camarines Sur, Albay, Sorsogon, and Masbate may be affected by rain with lightning and strong winds within the next two hours.

Residents of flood- and landslide-prone areas were advised to take precautionary measures.

A separate thunderstorm advisory was also released for Laguna in Calabarzon at 2:27 p.m. Moderate to heavy rain showers with possible lightning and strong winds may likewise be experienced in the said province within two hours.
