PAGASA said Tisoy's landfall is expected over the Bicol Region between Monday evening and Tuesday early morning.

Tisoy slightly weakened as it continued westward at 25 kph.

At 10 a.m., the typhoon's eye was located at 705 km east of Virac, Catanduanes

Tisoy has maximum sustained winds of up to 140 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 170 kph.

On Monday, the Bicol Region, Samar provinces and Biliran will have occasional to frequent heavy rains.

Romblon, Marinduque and Quezon, meanwhile, will have moderate to occasional heavy rains on Monday.

On Tuesday, frequent to continuous heavy rains will pour over Metro Manila, Bicol Region, CALABARZON, Mindoro provinces, Marinduque, Romblon, Zambales, Bataan, Pampanga, and Bulacan.

Meanwhile, Aklan, Capiz, northern portion of Antique, and the rest of Luzon will have moderate to occasional heavy rains.

PAGASA advised residents living in the above-mentioned areas to take the necessary precautions especially if they are located in areas highly or very highly susceptible to flooding and landslides.

They were also advised to coordinate with local disaster risk reduction and management offices and monitor weather updates.

As for sea travel, it remains risky especially for small sea craft since coastal waters will be rough over the seaboards of areas under TCWS, the northern and western seaboards of Northern Luzon and the eastern seaboards.

Tisoy is expected to be outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Friday.

The next severe weather bulletin will be issued at 5 p.m. —KG, GMA News
