Taal activity to bring isolated rains over Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Quezon
The continued unrest of Taal Volcano will cause cloudy skies with isolated rains and thunderstorms on Tuesday over Batangas, Cavite, Laguna and Quezon, according to PAGASA's early morning forecast.
Visibility may still be reduced, and mudflow during ashfall and light to moderate rains is possible.
Eastern and Central Visayas meanwhile will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the tail end of a cold front.
Flash floods or landslides may possibly occur when it rains heavily.
The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) meanwhile is affecting the northern part of the country.
Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region and Aurora will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the monsoon. The coastal and mountainous areas may experience occasional strong winds.
The monsoon will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over the Ilocos Region. Coastal and mountainous areas may have intermittent strong winds.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country meanwhile will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms. Flash floods and landslides may possibly occur during severe thunderstorms.
PAGASA is monitoring a low pressure area located at 3 p.m. at 670 km east northeast of Guiuan, Eastern Samar.
Coastal waters will be moderate to rough over the seaboards of Northern Luzon, with waves reaching as high as 3.7 meters.
Over the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao, coastal waters will be moderate, while these will be slight to moderate in the rest of the country.
