Hailstorm hits parts of Los Baños, Laguna

Pellets of ice rained down in Laguna on Tuesday amid the dry season, according to GMA's resident meteorologist Nathaniel "Mang Tani" Cruz.

The hailstorm was recorded on video occuring in Barangay Batong Malake as well as other barangays in Los Baños.

However, the hailstorm did not last long as the hot temperature prevailed anew for the rest of the day.

According to Cruz, hail forms during intense or strong thunderstorms as water stays longer suspended in the cloud and turns to ice while rotating inside.
