Scattered rains expected over Mimaropa, Bicol, Calabarzon, Eastern Visayas, Panay
A low pressure area (LPA) and the tail end of a frontal system (Shear Line) will cause cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Mimaropa, Bicol Region, Calabarzon, Eastern Visayas and Panay Island on Monday, PAGASA said in its early morning forecast.
Flash floods or landslides may occur during times of moderate to heavy rains.
The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) meanwhile affecting Northern Luzon and the eastern section of Central Luzon will bring cloudy skies with light rains over Cagayan Valley and Aurora.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the monsoon.
Mindanao and the rest of Visayas on the other hand will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides may occur due to severe thunderstorms.
At 3 a.m., the LPA was located at 15 km north of Cuyo, Palawan.
Coastal waters will be moderate to rough over the seaboards of Luzon, and slight to moderate in Visayas and Mindanao.
