Shear Line to bring cloudy skies, scattered rains over Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, Quezon
The northeast monsoon on Thursday will be affecting northern and central Luzon while the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will be affecting Mindanao, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.
Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, and Quezon will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the shear line with possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains.
Mindanao, Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, and Palawan will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ with possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains.
Metro Manila and the rest of CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, and Visayas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the ITCZ and localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
The rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.
The wind speed forecast for northern and central Luzon is moderate to strong moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
Visayas and the rest of Luzon will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving in the east to northeast direction while coastal waters will remain moderate to rough.
Mindanao will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the east to variable direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
