PAGASA: Severe Tropical Storm Odette enters PAR

Severe Tropical Storm Rai has entered the Philippine area of responsibility and was given a local name of Odette, state weather bureau PAGASA said Tuesday.

On Twitter, PAGASA said the weather disturbance entered Philippine jurisdiction at 7 p.m.

"At 7:00 PM today, Severe Tropical Storm RAI entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility and was assigned the domestic name #OdettePH. Tropical Cyclone Bulletins will be issued beginning at 11:00 PM today," it said.

Earlier, PAGASA said the trough of the severe tropical tropical storm is expected to dampen Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and the Davao Region. —NB, GMA News
