PAGASA: Habagat to bring rains over country's western sections
The Southwest Monsoon, locally known as Habagat, will be affecting the western sections of the country, state weather bureau PAGASA said Saturday.
Metro Manila, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, and Western Visayas will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms, according to PAGASA’s 4 p.m. weather forecast.
Likewise, the weather bureau warned of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the western sections of the country will have light to moderate wind speed moving southwest to south while coastal water conditions will be moderate.
Light to moderate wind speed forecast will prevail for the rest of the country moving southeast to south, while coastal water conditions will be slight to moderate. —LBG, GMA News
