Heavy rainfall warning up over Metro Manila, nearby areas

Heavy rainfall warning has been raised in Metro Manila and other areas in Luzon due to the trough of Typhoon Henry and the enhanced southwest monsoon or Habagat.

In an advisory issued 1:15 p.m. Friday, PAGASA said Zambales and Bataan are under orange rainfall warning.

Under the orange rainfall warning, intense rain measuring 15-30 mm may pour in one hour and may continue in the next two hours.

On the other hand, Metro Manila, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Cavite and Rizal are under yellow rainfall warning.

A yellow rainfall advisory is raised when the expected rainfall amount is between 7.5 mm and 15 mm within one hour and likely to continue in the next two hours.

In the same advisory, PAGASA also said residents of Nueva Ecija, Laguna, Batangas and Quezon should expect "light to moderate with occasional heavy rains within the next three hours." —KBK, GMA News
