ITCZ to bring rains, thunderstorms over Palawan, Visayas, Mindanao
The Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated at 920 kilometers east of Eastern Visayas at 3 a.m. on Tuesday embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) that will be affecting Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao while the northeast monsoon will be affecting Northern Luzon, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.
Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms brought about by the ITCZ with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora and Quirino will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the shear line with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, the rest of Cagayan Valley and the rest of Central Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Northern Luzon and the eastern section of Central Luzon will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving northeastward with moderate to rough coastal waters.
The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the northeast to northwest direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
