PAGASA: 10 to 14 tropical cyclones expected in PAR from May to October

State weather bureau PAGASA on Wednesday said 10 to 14 tropical cyclones are expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility from May to October 2023.

“On average, we expect 10 to 14 tropical cyclones from May to October,” senior weather specialist Rusy Abastillas said during PAGASA’s climate forum.

According to her, one to two tropical cyclones may enter PAR per month from May to June.

Two to four tropical cyclones are expected in July, she added.

Two to three tropical cyclones will enter per month from August to October, Abastillas said.
