Habagat to bring rains over parts of the Philippines —PAGASA

The Southwest Monsoon will continue to affect Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, state weather bureau PAGASA said Thursday.

In its public weather forecast, PAGASA said cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms may be expected over Mindanao, Western Visayas, Central Visayas, Palawan, and Southern Leyte due to Habagat.

Batanes, on the other hand, may experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the trough of low pressure area.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country may have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the Southwest Monsoon and localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA warned the affected residents against possible flooding or landslides due to heavy rains.

It added the country will be experiencing light to moderate winds blowing southwest to west, with slight to moderate coastal waters.
