Chinese New Year weather: Cloudy skies with rains over parts of PH

On Chinese New Year, cloudy skies with scattered rains will prevail in parts of the country triggered by three weather systems, PAGASA said in its 4 a.m. weather bulletin on Wednesday, January 29, 2025.

The Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Central Visayas, and Dinagat Islands will be affected by the shear line that will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms.

The shear line will spur the same weather conditions characterized by party cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms in Palawan and the rest of Visayas.

The easterlies will bring scattered rains and cloudy skies over Mindanao, while Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Aurora will have cloudy skies with rains brought by the Northeast Monsoon or amihan.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to amihan.

PAGASA said that as of 2 a.m., no low pressure areas are being monitored for tropical cyclone formation.

The sun will rise at 6:25 a.m. and will set at 5:54 p.m.—LDF, GMA Integrated News
