ITCZ, easterlies to bring rains over Mindanao, Eastern Visayas

The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) and Easterlies will bring rains across Mindanao and the Eastern Visayas in the next 24 hours, PAGASA said Sunday.

In its 4 p.m. weather forecast, the state weather bureau said cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms will persist over Mindanao, Eastern Visayas, and Palawan due to the ITCZ.

These moderate to at times heavy rains may trigger flash floods or landslides.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will see partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies.

These severe thunderstorms may cause flash floods or landslides.

State meteorologists also said winds will be light to moderate while coastal waters will be slight to moderate throughout the country.

Sunrise will be at 5:27 a.m. on Monday. —Mariel Celine Serquiña/RF, GMA Integrated News
