LPA to bring cloudy skies, rains over parts of Luzon, Visayas
The low pressure area is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over the Bicol Region, Central Visayas, Eastern Visayas, Aurora, and Quezon, PAGASA said in its Saturday afternoon forecast.
The LPA was spotted 175 kilometers east of Virac, Catanduanes at 3 p.m.
Because of the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), Metro Manila, MIMAROPA, Mindanao, the rest of Central Luzon, the rest of Visayas, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, and Rizal, will see will cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms, while the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
Flash floods or landslides may occur due to these weather systems.

''Forecast rainfall may be higher in mountainous and elevated areas. Moreover, impacts in some areas may be worsened by significant antecedent rainfall,'' PAGASA said.
Meanwhile, light to moderate winds with slight to moderate waters may be observed across the country.
