LPA spotted near Batanes as more rains expected over PH — PAGASA
More rains are expected over parts of the country as a Low Pressure Area (LPA) is being observed over the waters of Sabtang, Batanes at around 3 p.m. according to state weather bureau PAGASA on Thursday afternoon.
Based on PAGASA’s daily weather forecast, the LPA will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Ilocos Norte, Apayao, Kalinga, Abra, Batanes, and Cagayan.
The Southwest Monsoon or Habagat will cause occasional rains over Metro Manila, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Pampanga, Tarlac, Bulacan, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Occidental Mindoro, the rest of Cagayan Valley, and the rest of Cordillera Administrative Region, and cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Western Visayas and the rest of Luzon.
The rest of the country will also have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the Habagat.
Possible flash floods or landslides may occur in some areas due to said weather conditions.
Meanwhile, Northern Luzon will experience light to moderate winds with moderate waters, while the rest of the country will have light to moderate winds with slight to moderate waters.
Temperatures in the country will range from a minimum of 24.2°C to a maximum of 27.6°C over the next 24 hours.
