Dante exits Philippine Area of Responsibility

Tropical Storm Dante has left the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), according to the state weather bureau PAGASA.

PAGASA said Dante exited the PAR at 3 p.m. Thursday.

Dante, along with Typhoon Emong, has enhanced the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), which brings rains to several parts of the country. 

The weather bureau said Dante was forecast to remain as a tropical storm as it exited the PAR.

''It is then expected to weaken over the East China Sea by weekend due to unfavorable conditions,'' PAGASA said. —VBL, GMA Integrated News
