Habagat to bring cloudy skies, rains over Luzon, Visayas
The southwest monsoon or Habagat will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains over Luzon and Visayas on Friday, PAGASA reported.
Ilocos Region, Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Abra, Benguet, and Zambales will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon with flash floods or landslides occurring due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, and Visayas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon with flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms with the possibility that flash floods or landslides will occur during severe thunderstorms.
The wind speed forecast for extreme Northern Luzon is moderate to strong and moving southwestward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
The western section of Luzon will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving southwestward with moderate to rough coastal waters.
The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the south to southwest direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.
