Thunderstorm advisory up over Metro Manila, 9 Luzon areas

Metro Manila and nine areas in Luzon are expected to experience moderate to heavy rains with lightning and strong winds Friday afternoon.

In a thunderstorm advisory issued at 1:22 p.m., state weather bureau PAGASA said the following areas will be affected within the next two hours:

• Metro Manila, 
• Cavite, 
• Batangas, 
• Zambales, 
• Bataan, 
• Tarlac, 
• Pampanga, 
• Bulacan, 
• Quezon, and 
• Rizal. 

Meanwhile, Cabuyao, Santa Rosa, Calamba, and Binan in Laguna are experiencing moderate to heavy rains with lightning and strong winds.

It may persist within two hours and affect nearby areas.

Affected residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
